Research interests:
Animal diversity, distribution and community composition. Based on a model taxa (molluscs, mites, several taxa of arthropods, fishes) identification of biodiversity patterns and structuring mechanisms, interspecific relationships, biogeography and phylogeography in the Caucausus biodiversity hotspot. One of the main direction of research is the inventory of invertebrate animal diversity in south Caucasus region.
